England trio targeted following Euro 2020 final
The aftermath of the Euro 2020 final which took place on Sunday, July 11th, has been truly shocking and embarrassing.
England would lose the final to Italy after three English players missed their spot-kicks in the penalty shootout.
Said players were Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Bukayo Saka.
Following England’s loss, all three players have been the victims of racist abuse, with Rashford’s mural in Manchester also defaced:

Portsmouth investigating racist comments from reported under-18 group chat
Now, Portsmouth Football Club are investigating after it appears several of their young players were also making racist comments towards the England players in question.
A leaked screenshot of a group chat, believed to consist of Portsmouth under-18 players, shows some simply vile comments being made towards Marcus Rashford and co.

A Portsmouth spokesperson has since had this to say on the incident:
“Portsmouth Football Club are aware of images circulating on social media that allegedly originate from an academy u18 group chat and which are discriminatory in nature.
“The club have launched an immediate investigation and will provide an update once this has been completed.
“Portsmouth Football Club strongly condemn racism and are totally committed to the elimination of all forms of discrimination. There is no place for it in our game or society as a whole.”
Portsmouth FC also released a statement confirming they are aware of the images and have launched an investigation:
