Arsenal star Mesut Ozil took to social media on the back of his side’s FA Cup triumph yesterday evening, to congratulate Mikel Arteta’s squad.

The Gunners made the trip to Wembley 24 hours ago, for the final outing of a trying campaign.
Arsenal headed into proceedings on the back of an 8th-place Premier League finish, the club’s worst for 25 years.
As such, all associated with the north Londoners were no doubt absolutely desperate for a positive result ahead of kick-off, aware that a win over Chelsea would go a long way towards not only easing the pain of such a poor season, but also securing much-needed funds for the transfer front via qualification for the Europa League.
And, when all was said and done in the English capital, secure victory was exactly what Arteta’s men managed.
Chelsea actually took the lead in the clash, courtesy of Christian Pulisic’s clever finish with just 5 minutes on the clock.
Arsenal, though, dug deep, to eventually pull level from the penalty spot shortly before the half-hour mark.
And, just as he had done in the competition’s previous round versus Manchester City, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang soon went on to notch his brace, dinking Willy Caballero with a delightful 2nd-half finish to secure victory for the Gunners.

The celebrations on the back of Arsenal’s record-setting 14th FA Cup title have since proven jubilant and wild in equal measure, with the club’s stars having posted a whole host of videos online, showcasing the post-match scenes inside their dressing room.
One such clip in particular, meanwhile, has since caught the eye of fans, with William Saliba, fresh off the back of his arrival from Saint-Etienne, having been sought out by Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette:

One individual who played no part in Arsenal’s celebrations at Wembley, however, was Mesut Ozil.
Veteran playmaker Ozil actually spent the weekend in Turkey, after being informed that he would not be part of Mikel Arteta’s squad to face Chelsea.
The German, though, nevertheless took to Twitter, to post a message of congratulations to his Gunners teammates:
