Cristiano Ronaldo has, on Thursday, sent a message of thanks to the Manchester United faithful, after bagging the club’s Player of the Month award.

CR7 is back

The headline news at Old Trafford this past summer of course came in the form of Ronaldo’s remarkable return.

On the back of a 12-year spell away from the club, United, upon hearing of the Portuguese’s eagerness to depart Italian giants Juventus, showcased little hesitance in swooping to bring their prodigal son back to England.

Ronaldo’s comeback, in turn, was made official late in August:

And to say that the 5-time Ballon d’Or winner has since gone about stealing the show as only he can would be something of an understatement.

All told, across six appearances back in the colours of the Red Devils, CR7 has racked up five goals, including a brace on his 2nd debut, and a crucial last-gasp winner during a Champions League meeting with Villarreal:

CR7 sends thanks

And, as outlined above, on Thursday, such efforts have seen Ronaldo rewarded.

Taking to social media this evening, Manchester United confirmed that their star man has been voted as the club’s Player of the Month for September:

Ronaldo himself, meanwhile, has since reached out to the Red Devils faithful, to thank all who put his name forth for the latest piece of silverware added to a burgeoning trophy cabinet:
